Overview
Works consisted of the decarbonisation of 16 social housing properties for three Housing Providers (North Devon Homes, Exeter City Council & Sanctuary Group).
This R&D ERDF Funded programme to Energiesprong principles was procured to develop a zero carbon retrofit solution for the UK market. The project included ground source heat pumps for heat and hot water, PV micro generation and battery storage, off site insulated façades, triple glazing, MVHR, underfloor insulation by robots and a sophisticated IoT monitoring platform.
CHALLENGES:
This was an R&D project developing much of the technology used, in some cases for the first time in the UK. Deep retrofit of existing properties with residents insitu and the rectification of existing defects prior to commencement of the energy improvement works.

• Delivery of nZEB retrofit model
• Significant energy savings for residents
• Modernised future proofed properties with kerb appeal.
• Innovative IoT platform being utilised on further Energiesprong projects.
